Defeat Addictions is dedicated to researching effective ways of helping addicts in their recovery from drug
addiction. We create and produce educational brochures, booklets, and sideshows for the purpose of
educating addicts and preventing drug use within the community. We conduct and publish followup surveys on
the post treatment of addicts in an effort to reveal what programs are helping the addict and which ones do not.
Our goal is to expose treatment providers who are failing addicts or who have less than a
20% success rate.
We will stop the deception and false
success rates presented to the public by those with a vested interest in
using addicts to fund their harmful programs.

American
mainstream treatment (residential, attendance in AA, disease concept, etc.) statistically does not
help addicts and in fact only encourages them to continue in their addictive behaviors. Treatment programs that
focus on educating addicts in responsible choice, behavioral issues, better ways of living, personal conduct,
and harm reduction have been shown to be
highly effective, but has been rejected by those with a vested
interest in teaching the
disease model and using it as an excuse when addicts fail. We offer this website as a
resource addicts can use to find information and resources on all aspects of treatment and recovery. We bring
drug addiction treatment to the addict and place all the responsibility back where it should be, on the person
with an addiction problem. We believe
taxpayers are not responsible to help addicts nor should they be
required to pay for addicts poor choices. Drug treatment should be
self-treatment and always remain free
and assessable to the addict regardless of their situation.

Drug addiction cannot be medically treated by hosts of therapists, drug counselors, or recovery groups. To
date not one
study has showed treatment is better than no treatment and some studies have actually produced
worse results for those in treatment than for those who never entered treatment. We believe taxpayers have
the right to know if treatment is a waste of their money or if its successful in helping addicts achieve long-term
sobriety. We seek to
petition a mandatory 2-year followup on all addicts subjected to residential treatment and
a 1-year followup on all addicts who completed court ordered treatment and probation. We ask the community
and those who are interested in standing up for addicts and finding effective ways of helping them to contact
the
Wyoming legislators.
DEFEAT ADDICTIONS MISSION:
Provide alcoholic/addicts with the resources for a successful recovery.
Conduct research/followup surveys on addicts court-ordered to attend treatment.
Offer the
alcoholic [EXT]/addict a valuable [EXT] alternative when A.A.[EXT]/N.A. didn't work.[EXT]
Educate [PDF] the alcoholic [EXT]/addict in [PDF] the full truth [PDF] about alcohol [EXT] and drug addiction.[EXT]
1-We need to stop funding treatment providers who refuse to provide taxpayers with a 2-year followup.
2-Treatment providers need to be held accountable for the addicts who failed using their harmful programs.
3-Working as a community we will help addicts achieve long-term sobriety
without wasting taxpayers money!
